(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded is up a nickel from Monday. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $4.36. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is six cents higher than the beginning of the week at $4.69. In Indiana, the statewide average has jumped fourteen cents from Monday to $3.88 a gallon. Texas has the lowest prices in the nation, with a statewide average of $3.83 a gallon. California has the highest prices in the nation, with a statewide average of $6.33 a gallon, two cents lower than Monday.
