(Undated) – The Better Business Bureau is warning the public about a new scam known as “brushing.” BBB investigator, Don O’ Brien, says this scam takes the form of box loads of merchandise that you didn’t order showing up on your doorstep. He says this scam is more of a “nuisance” than a security risk.
O’Brien says if you find yourself targeted, you should notify the retailer. He also says, one bright spot is that the Federal Trade Commission says you have a legal right to keep unordered merchandise.
