(Chicago, IL) — The Supreme Court is declining to review a challenge to Illinois’ assault weapons ban. The high court decided yesterday to allow the law to stand as cases challenging its constitutionality move through the lower courts. Governor Pritzker signed the law in response to the deadly Fourth of July shooting in Highland Park in 2022. The Supreme Court could take up the case in the future.
