Wet and Stormy Weather Forecast for July 4th

(Undated) – It appears as though it’s going to be a wet and stormy Independence Day weekend. The latest “Hazardous Weather Outlook” from the National Weather Service says scattered thunderstorms will develop this afternoon along a cold front and may pose a severe weather risk this afternoon and evening with the primary hazards being damaging wind gusts, large hail, frequent lightning, and torrential rainfall. Additional thunderstorm activity is forecast for Independence Day in areas along and south of Interstate 70, and may also pose a severe weather risk.
