(Undated) – Gas prices have inched higher as supply drops to its lowest level since 2015. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average has climbed to $3.60 a gallon. GasBuddy Head of Petroleum Analysis, Patrick De Haan, says while gas prices have been far less active than normal, the heat currently gripping much of the country could cause an uptick in tropical storm activity. He says that combined with gasoline demand hitting its summer high, and the risks are there to disturb gas prices in “a significant way” before summer’s end. The current statewide average for Illinois is $3.84. It’s $3.48 in Indiana.
