(Undated) – It looks like we are in for a bit of a cool down but not before a “dangerously hot” day today. The latest “Hazardous Weather Outlook” from the National Weather Service, says dangerous heat will continue today, with peak heat index readings of 117 this afternoon. The “Excessive Heat Warning” continues until 10 pm tonight. The National Weather Service says a cold front is expected to bring relief through the weekend and into early next week. The cold front is expected to bring daytime highs back down into the upper 70s to low 80s through much of next week.
