(Robinson) – The RHS Maroon Tennis Team came up short last night in a 5-4 loss to Mattoon. Head Coach, Steve Jenkins, says while the girls came away disappointed, losing such a close match, the coaches feel that the girls learned the importance of being focused on each shot, and each point, and to continue to play smart aggressive tennis. Jenkins says Lauren Staller picked up an important win at #2 singles against one of the top players that will be in their Sectionals. The Lady Maroons have one more regular season match tomorrow at Effingham High School. They will be participating in the Little Illini Conference Tournament this Saturday at Paris High School.
