(Palestine) – Palestine Police Chief, Jeff Besing, will sign off for the last time at 4 p.m. today. Besing is retiring from law enforcement following a forty-three-and-a-half-year career. He has served as Palestine Police Chief for ten and half years. Besing says until the Village of Palestine hires new law enforcement personnel, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office will be handling law enforcement calls for the Village.
