(Robinson) — The Lincoln Trail College men’s soccer team advanced to the Region 24 final with a 2-1 overtime win over Illinois Central at Statesmen Park Saturday. Inchun (INCH-un) Han scored the game-winner for the Statesmen with a header in overtime. Ryosuke (REE-yo) Miyata scored LTC’s other goal in the first half. The win marks LTC’s first postseason victory in team history. Head Coach, Javier Milla, says this is a big win and but the boys have to stay focused.
They’ll travel to Lewis and Clark this Saturday for the Region 24 Final. LTC split with Lewis and Clark during the regular season, winning 4-1 at home and losing 2-0 on the road.
