(Undated) – It’s deer season and the DNR is again emphasizing the importance of tree stand safety. According to DNR Conservation Police Captain, John Williamson, there have been two tree stand-related fatalities already this season.
Williamson says it is important to double-check the safety straps each time you are going to climb into your tree stand.
He also encourages hunters to double-check with landowners for permission to hunt on their property.
