Most Americans Live “Paycheck to Paycheck”

(Undated) – If you live “paycheck to paycheck” you are not alone. According to a new report from Lending Tree, sixty-three percent of Americans are dependent on the next check to “make ends meet.” That number is largely unchanged from a year ago. The report shows that in households earning less than fifty thousand dollars a year, nearly eighty percent reported living paycheck to paycheck. That has likely led to the uptick in people who report having a “side hustle.” A recent survey from small business insight company Pinger says sixty-seven percent of Americans have a small business, do freelance work, or both.
