(Robinson) — The RHS girls finished 17th in a field of 30 at the State Cross Country meet Saturday at Detweiller Park in Peoria. Head Coach, Tony Cork, says that Quinn Wesley led the Maroons with her 41st place finish in a time of 18:37, which is the second fastest time ever for the RHS Girls program. Cork says this was the team’s best race of the season as Wesley, Sophie Stark, Katelyn Jones, and Ella Tingley all recorded their season-best times. Austin Wesley finished 45th in the boys race. According to Cork, Robinson was running against some “top-notch” competition. He says both the girls and boys races featured the fastest field of finish times in the history of the state meet.
