(Robinson) — The Robinson Police Department has released numbers from its Thanksgiving holiday enforcement campaign. The “Click It or Ticket” and “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaigns resulted in one DUI arrest, four felony arrests, two suspended or revoked licenses, two uninsured motorists, one citation for speeding, and eight drug arrests. RPD Chief, Chad Weaver, says this year’s campaign was successful in grabbing people’s attention with highly visible enforcement methods and as always, the goal is a safe community with safe drivers. The Thanksgiving enforcement effort is made possible by federal traffic safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
