(Oblong) – Oblong is busy with Christmas events and activities this weekend. Oblong Mayor, Teresa Fielder, recently took to social media to remind the public about some of those upcoming events. Tomorrow from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Ridgeview Health and Rehab Center is inviting everyone to stroll through their light display, see Santa working in his workshop, then come inside and enjoy some hot chocolate and cookies. On Friday, from 5 p.m.-7:30 p.m., the Oblong Chamber of Commerce is hosting a “Downtown Christmas” for everyone to take part in. The event includes food, Santa, carolers, a Smith Grain Farm train giving tours of Christmas lights, and much more. This Sunday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. the Oblong EUM Church will hold their annual Live Nativity Scene at their parking lot on E. Main Street.
