(Undated) – The national average for a gallon of gas continues to trend lower. According to GasBuddy.com, the current national average is hovering around $3.20 a gallon, down two cents from Monday and five cents lower than a week ago. The statewide average for Illinois is $3.31 a gallon, down eight cents from a week ago. The statewide average for Indiana is well below the three dollar mark at $2.94 a gallon, a twelve cents decline from a week ago. Oklahoma has the cheapest gas in the nation at $2.59 a gallon. California drivers are paying, on average $4.73 a gallon.
