(Undated) – The national average for a gallon regular unleaded fell over the Christmas weekend. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average has fallen to $3.09, three cents lower than Friday. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is $3.05 a gallon, down four cents from the end of the week. Drivers in Indiana are paying, on average, less than three dollars a gallon, the statewide average is $2.92. Oklahoma has the cheapest gas in the nation at $2.60 and California has the most expensive at $4.54 a gallon.
