(Undated) – Gas prices continue to be “elevated.” According to GasBuddy.com, the national average is $3.28 a gallon, two cents higher than Monday. They say the increase is due, in part, to weak refinery inputs. The Energy Information Administration’s weekly report indicates that crude oil inventories increased by 3.5 million barrels to a total of 443 million, which is 36.1 million below last year and two percent below the five-year average for this time of year. The current statewide average for a gallon of regular unleaded here in Illinois is $3.49 and it’s $3.22 a gallon in Indiana.
