(Robinson) – The City of Robinson is officially recognizing the RHS Lady Maroons. The City of Robinson issued an official declaration yesterday proclaiming today “Robinson Lady Maroons Varsity Basketball Team Day.” Robinson Mayor, Mike Shimer, and the Robinson City Council unanimously passed the resolution. They say the team as “achieved great success enhancing the pride of the Robinson Community in the youth of its community and school system.” For the first time in the history of the girl’s program at RHS, the RHS Lady Maroons are playing in the State Finals in Normal following the Super-Sectional Championship win. The Coaches and team members will receive a certified copy of the declaration during a ceremony on Sunday.
