Pair Arrested Following K-9 Stop in Sullivan

(Sullivan, IN) — Sullivan County authorities say a pair of men were arrested earlier this week thanks to the county’s K-9 unit. According to the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department, Deputy, Cole Boatright, and his K-9 partner “Qlark” were on patrol around Silver and Main Street in Sullivan when Deputy, Boatright, pulled over a vehicle for multiple traffic infractions. During the traffic stop K-9 “Qlark” was deployed. The following search led to the arrest of thirty-seven-year-old Ryan Stevens of Sullivan and thirty-five-year-old David Haviland of Oaktown. Stevens was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and Dealing in a Controlled Substance. Haviland was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Paraphernalia.
