(Undated) – As we get ready to “spring forward” this weekend lawmakers are trying to eliminate the time change. Illinois lawmakers are interested in making the change permanent but have been frustrated in recent years in passing legislation to make it happen. The federal “Uniform Time Act” prevents states from acting on their own to make the change permanent but it hasn’t stopped lawmakers from trying anyway. Illinois State Representative, Bob Morgan, says he keeps trying because the change to Daylight Saving Time can be tough on seniors and families. Nevertheless, don’t forget to set your clocks ahead one hour before bed on Saturday night.
