(Undated) – Gas prices continue to climb higher. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $3.55 a gallon, nine cents higher than last Friday. The statewide average for Illinois is twenty-three cents higher than a week ago, hovering around $3.91 a gallon. Across the river in Indiana, drivers are paying an average of $3.52 a gallon, an increase of six cents over last Friday. Mississippi has the lowest prices in the nation with a statewide average of $3.07. California is the highest with an average of $4.95 a gallon.
