(Undated) – The eclipse is just around the corner and health experts are warning the public to be safe when viewing the upcoming solar eclipse. They say while everyone wants to see it, it’s important to remember they’re still looking at the sun. Looking at the sun unprotected, even briefly, can cause permanent eye damage. The American Astronomical Society reminds stargazers to wear approved eclipse glasses. They say real eclipse glasses are specially made to block almost all visible light, and they warn that the market is full of cheap knockoffs.
