(Oblong) – “Freedom Fest” is set for tomorrow in Oblong. According to Oblong Chamber Vice President, Mark Kilburn, this festival was previously known as the “Hootenanny” but has been rebranded and will have a more patriotic feel. Kilburn says the Opening Ceremony featuring the Oblong American Legion will be held at 4 p.m. with Kyle Bailey singing the National Anthem accompanied by the Oblong High School Band. Food trucks, bounce houses, and games also begin at 4 p.m. He says there will be a Cruise-In at 5 p.m. and the Travis Henry Band begins at 5:15 p.m. The Duck Race is set for 5:30 p.m. and the day wraps up with Fireworks at 9:15 p.m.
