(Undated) – The forecast for the week looks sunny and dry. According to the National Weather Service, sunshine and highs in the mid-70s look to prevail for the week, providing several days perfect for harvest. The latest USDA Illinois Crop Progress and Condition Report says Corn harvested reached 21 percent, compared to the 5-year average of 16 percent. Corn condition was rated 1 percent very poor, 4 percent poor, 18 percent fair, 58 percent good, and 19 percent excellent. Soybeans harvested reached 24 percent, compared to the 5-year average of 11 percent. Soybean condition was rated 1 percent very poor, 4 percent poor, 23 percent fair, 57 percent good, and 15 percent excellent.
