(Undated) — It is Election Day and polling places are scheduled to be open until 7 p.m. this evening. In addition to the presidential race, all 17 members of Congress from Illinois are up for re-election. There are three advisory questions on the ballot including the Election Worker Protection and Candidate Accountability Referendum, Property Relief and Fairness Referendum, and Assisted Reproductive Health Referendum. Crawford County voters will be voting for the Public Safety Tax Referendum. If passed, it would impose a 1% “public safety tax” on “tangible items.”
