Leaf Pick Up Underway in Oblong

(Oblong) – The Village of Oblong has begun leaf pick up. Oblong Mayor, Teresa Fielder, reminds Village residents that Oblong Public Works employees will be picking up leaves for the next few weeks for residents inside the Oblong Village limits. She says the public is asked to bag or box their leaves and leave them beside the roadway. Fielder says if you simply rake leaves to the edge of the street, it may be several days before they get picked up. She says when you have your leaves ready for pick up, please call the Oblong Public Works office at 618-592-3122 Monday-Friday between 8 a.m.-1 p.m. and you will be added to the list.
