According to the American Express 2023 Saturday Consumer Insights Survey, the total reported projected spending of U.S. consumers who shopped at independent retailers and restaurants on Small Business Saturday, reached an estimated $17 billion. American Express launched the first “Small Business Saturday in 2010.
