National Average for Gas Falls Below $3

(Undated) – The national average for a gallon gas has finally fallen below the $3 a gallon mark. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the current national average is $2.97 a gallon, down a nickel from Friday. Here in Illinois, the statewide average has fallen four cents from Friday to $3.12 a gallon. Across the Wabash in Indiana, the statewide average is $2.88 a gallon, down six cents from Friday’s average. Oklahoma has the lowest prices in the nation at $2.42 a gallon, down four cents from Friday. California has the highest statewide average at $4.31 a gallon, a three-cent decline over the weekend.
