(Undated) – Minimum wage workers got a raise yesterday. The State’s new minimum wage officially went into effect yesterday, increasing the state’s minimum wage from fourteen to fifteen dollars an hour. The minimum wage for tipped workers goes to nine dollars per hour. This is the final increase in the state’s minimum wage that was included in legislation signed by Governor Pritzker in 2019.
