CDC Reports Flu Related ER Visits are “Very High”

(Undated) — The CDC says emergency room visits related to the flu are “very high” nationwide. In this week’s update on the winter respiratory virus season, the agency says seasonal influenza activity continues to increase and is elevated across most of the U.S. Some of the highest levels are now in Western states. Flu trends this year look to be similar to the 2019 to 2020 season, which also hit peak levels around the New Year.
