(Oblong) — Eastern Illinois Foodbank will be in Jasper and Crawford Counties this Thursday. According to Oblong Mayor, Teresa Fielder, if you plan to attend one of the distributions, and have never attended an EIF pantry distribution, you are encouraged to visit eifneighbors.org to pre-register. She says pre-registering is not required and does not reserve a spot in line. She also says while food is typically distributed in boxes, and bags, you are encouraged to bring a box, bag, or cart to make transport easier. In Jasper County they will be set up at the The Edge in Willow Hill from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and in Crawford County they will be set up in Oblong at the Bertram Building from 11 a.m. to noon. Also, on Monday, January 20th the Oblong Food Pantry will be distributing free food boxes from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church at 112 North Range Street in Oblong.
