Nintendo has officially unveiled the Switch 2 with a first look teaser trailer.
Fans have been given their first official look at the successor to the Nintendo Switch with a short, two-minute teaser trailer.
The video was shared earlier today (January 16) and seems to confirm a bigger, more powerful console. Check it out below:
Nintendo has yet to reveal the technical specifications of the new console but the reveal trailer seemingly confirms a number of leaks that have made their way online in recent weeks. Originally Nintendo tried to downplay the leaks as “not official”.
It’s also been confirmed that you’ll be able to play digital and physical Switch games on the new console, though “certain Nintendo Switch games may not be supported on or fully compatible with Nintendo Switch 2.” Further details will be revealed in the coming weeks.
The release date, price and range of launch titles for the Switch 2 hasn’t been announced yet but Nintendo has confirmed a dedicated Direct presentation for April 2. The console will release at some point this year.
