‘Pokemon TCG Pocket’ next expansion release date, rumors, more

By Echo Apsey Jan 17, 2025 | 11:47 AM

Pokemon TCG Pocket‘s next expansion is coming. Every month or two we see a new mini-set or full multi-pack booster expansion added to the game that includes dozens of new cards, rare collectors art cards, and more. But what can we expect from the next set, and when is it arriving?

Here is what we know and what has been revealed so far:

‘Pokemon TCG Pocket’ next expansion release date

The next expansion for Pokemon TCG Pocket will be Shining Revelry on March 27, 2025.

This is the first set with shiny Pokemon and looks to be a single-booster set. Therefore, you can expect around 60-80 cards in the set. The update that brings this set will also include ranked matches for battles.

In the trailer, we get a look at some regular Pokemon, as well as a number of shiny versions. This includes Lucario EX, Charizard EX, shiny Pachirisu, shiny Wiglett, shiny Varoom, and more.

Given that Triumphant Light and Shining Revelry only had one booster pack each, the next set should have several packs and more than 100 cards. We are due another large set like Genetic Apex, which could mean the release date of the next expansion set is a little further off in late April or May.

Either way, we will be sure to keep this page updated with the latest updates for the game, as it is revealed. We are still missing some new generation Pokemon, so we could see a focus on them in the next set when it releases later this spring.  We could also see new mechanics introduced with those expansions.
