“Winter Weather Advisory” Issued for Much of The Area

(Undated) — The warm weather we have been enjoying the last couple days is about to disappear in big bad way. According to the National Weather Service, while we may be enjoying temperatures in the 50’s today by tomorrow the high drops into the 20’s. They have issued a “Winter Weather Advisory” that goes into effect this evening at 6pm and will remain in effect until 6pm tomorrow evening. During the winter storm we can look forward to a mixed bag of precipitation. Ice and snow are expected late tonight and early tomorrow morning. We could see snow accumulations of 1 – 2 inches as well as up to a tenth of an inch of ice across the WTYE listening area. Authorities remind you to slow down and take your time when traveling on wintery roads.
