(Undated) — The latest round of winter weather has extended what was supposed to be a three day weekend into a five day weekend for many kids across the area. After school cancellations Friday and the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday yesterday area kids were already enjoying a four day weekend and the latest blast of winter weather has given them another day off. Classes at schools through out the area have been cancelled today including Robinson, Oblong, Palestine, Hutsonville and New Hebron. According to Regional Superintendent of Schools Monte Newlin schools in Clay, Jasper, Lawrence and Richland counties have also called off classes for today.
