(Undated) — The American Red Cross will be back in the area today for their next drive. The Red Cross will be taking blood and “Power Red Cell” donations today at Palestine High School. They will be set up from 12:30-5:30. If you can’t make it to todays drive they will be at Nuttall Middle School Thursday from 2-7. Donations of type-O-negative blood, which is considered to be “universal” is always in high demand.. During a red cell donation, two units of blood cells are taken while most plasma and platelets are returned to the donor.
