(Palestine) — Spring and Fall Clean up dates were confirmed during last nights Palestine Village Board meeting. The Village confirmed April 18th-20th for Spring Clean Up and October 17th-19th for Fall Clean Up. The board also heard from a representative from the PPPS. Architectural plans to build a handicap ramp at the South entrance of the Fife Opera House are being prepared. The plans and the future of the project will be discussed at a future board meeting. Members of the community in attendance continued to voice their concerns over the possible consolidation of Palestine and Hutsonville schools. Areas of concern include the condition of buildings, economic impact and declining enrollment.
