(Undated) – The wet rainy weather continues for the WTYE listening area. According to the National Weather Service the rain is going to continue through at least tonight. Wednesday afternoon appears to be our next shot at sunshine in the forecast. Here at the WTYE studio we recorded just over two and half inches rain from last nights storms. The Weather Service says that the Wabash River in Hutsonville is now expected to crest around twenty one feet late Saturday night. The river will then begin to fall through the week. In Terre Haute the Wabash is at nineteen feet, which is two and half feet above flood stage. Everyone is reminded to stay away from flood water and motorists should never attempt to drive through flood water.
