(Undated) – Sullivan, Indiana is preparing for the funeral services of fallen Terre Haute Police Officer Rob Pitts. According to Sullivan County Sheriff Clark Cottom the Knox County Sheriff’s Office will have eighteen deputies in Sullivan County to provide protection to the county, town and city throughout the day Wednesday. At the conclusion of services at the ISU Hulman Center the funeral procession for Officer Pitts will stop in front of the Terre Haute Police Department for “last call” before making its way to Officer Pitts final resting place in Sullivan. The procession will travel at 20 mph and the trip from Terre Haute to Sullivan is estimated to take around an hour and thirty five minutes. The funeral procession is expected to arrive in Sullivan at around 3pm. Those wishing to honor this fallen hero are encouraged to show respect along the procession route within the City of Sullivan.
