(Palestine) – A Palestine couple spent some time in the Crawford County Jail over the weekend. According to the Palestine Police Chief Jeff Besing, Palestine Police Officer Brandon Carpenter and Crawford County Sheriff Deputy Jeff Sprinkle responded to the 300 block of South Jackson in Palestine in search of a female subject wanted on a Crawford County Bench Warrant. Authorities arrested forty six year old Kelly Lewis on the Bench Warrant for an Ordinance Violation. At the same time they arrested her husband, Scott Lewis for Obstructing Justice and Resisting a Peace Officer. Both were booked into the Crawford County Jail and have been released.
