Lookout For Another Dangerously Hot Day

hot-weather

(Undated) – It is going to be another hot and humid day across the WTYE listening area. According to the National Weather Service, high temperatures will be in the low to mid 90s through Monday. These temperatures combined with dewpoints in the low to mid 70s, will have heat indices peaking from 100 to 108 degrees this afternoon. A Heat Advisory will remain in effect for the area through at least 7pm this evening. Drink plenty of water, wear light weight and loose fitting clothing, stay in an air-conditioned room if possible, stay out of the sun and take frequent breaks. Check up on relatives and neighbors, especially the elderly. Children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles, as interiors can reach lethal temperatures in just minutes.
