(Oblong) – The Oblong FFA received a donation from the Crawford County Sheriffs Department yesterday in the form of some high end greenhouse equipment. Sergeant Eric Leckey explains.
According to Leckey this type of stuff is typically destroyed but Sheriff Bill Rutan and the office worked to do something better with the items.
Oblong Ag Teacher and FFA Advisor Kerry Travis explains how the school will put the new equipment to good use.
The lights and other equipment were seized as part of the 2016 investigation and arrest of Lois Carpenter, who is currently serving time in the IDOC.
