Robinson City Council Met Last Night

(Robinson) – The Robinson City Council took steps to encourage the development of the Robinson Crawford Enterprise Zone during last nights meeting. They adopted an ordinance putting in place a policy statement expressing a commitment to encourage the development of business entities and the hiring of individuals defined as minorities, women and persons with disabilities. In other business the tentative tax levy is set at $777,187. There will be a truth & taxation public meeting set for 6:45pm prior to the regular December 11th meeting at 7pm. An ordinance to approve an agreement with the state of Illinois and Indiana Railroad Company for railway-highway grade crossing improvements passed by a 6-2 margin.
