(Effingham) – An Effingham woman was arrested Saturday after colliding with an Illinois State Troopers vehicle. According to the Illinois State Police, 45 year old Tamra Wendt collided with the officer’s squad car when he was stopped at an intersection on Fayette Avenue in Effingham. Wendt hit the ISP squad car in the driver’s side door while she was turning south. She was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. The Trooper was transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
