(Robinson) – The LTC Statesmen dominated Shawnee yesterday rolling to an 11-1 win on the strength of Bryant Shellenbarger, who did Shawnee no favors, picking up five hits over five at bats and leading the Statesmen at the plate. Shellenbarger singled in the first, singled in the third, tripled in the fourth, singled in the sixth, and homered in the eighth. John Cheatwood pitched the Statesmen to victory. He allowed three hits and one run over five innings, striking out four. Wyatt Joy threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. LTC improves to 19-16 and will be on the road for a Saturday double-header with Shawnee.
