(Undated) – While the worst of yesterdays storms missed the area we did receive nearly two inches of rain here at the WTYE studio. Officially, we recorded 1.72 inches of rainfall from the storms. That on top of already wet and saturated ground will continue to cause flooding in low-lying areas and according to the National Weather Service, flooding on a number of rivers in the area will continue through at least mid-week. The Wabash River at Hutsonville is forecast to crest Wednesday at 21.3 feet. The Flood Warning remains in effect until further notice for several of the rivers in the area including the Wabash. Stay tuned to WTYE for the latest weather information.
