Robinson Chamber Reminds You to Shop Local

(Robinson) – Mothers Day is Sunday and Lisa Schaefer, Executive Director with the Robinson Chamber of Commerce, is reminding you to shop local.

Schaefer says that the Chamber is currently working on putting together “shopping guides” to help you shop local, no matter the holiday.

According to independentwestand.org, for every $100 you spend at locally owned businesses, $68 will stay in the community. Local businesses are better at creating higher-paying jobs for your neighbors. When you shop locally, you help create jobs for teachers, firemen, police officers, and many other essential professions.
