Maroons Split Weekend Action

(Robinson) – The Robinson Maroons went one and one in weekend baseball action. In game one on Saturday, a five-run fourth inning helped RHS roll to an 8-1 win over Olney. Brayden Childress pitched seven innings of one-run ball en route to the win. He allowed one run on five hits, walking one, and striking out 9. In game two Saturday, the Maroons didn’t fare as well against Sullivan, falling 8-1 in the non-conference contest. Cade Slaughter took the loss for the Maroons pitching four and a third innings allowing eight runs on eight hits, walking four and striking out 5. Robinson will be back in action Wednesday in Regional Semifinal play against the winner of today’s Lawrenceville-Marshall contest. First pitch in that game is 4:30 pm.
