(Robinson) – The Crawford County Rescue Squad is looking for a new rescue truck. That was just one of the items handled at last night’s County Board Meeting. Rescue Squad spokesman, Greg Newlin, says the current vehicle has been in service for many years and is failing fast. In other business, the board approved a trio of engineering agreements for bridge and road work. The county will also proceed with applying for the BUILD, or Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development grant. The grant money will allow the Indiana Railroad to replace a number of aging wooden crossings. Also during last night’s meeting, the County Board recognized Mary Shaw for her years of service on the Crawford County Board of Health. She is retiring after 34 years of serving the community.
