Red Cross Needs Donations

(Undated) – The American Red Cross has begun its “Missing Types” campaign in an effort to highlight the need to donate. During the “Missing Types” campaign, the letters A, B, and O are disappearing from major brand logos, social media pages, signs, and websites to draw attention to the critical importance of blood donations. Red Cross statistics show that just 3 out of every 100 people in the U.S. give blood. Your next chance donate is this afternoon at the Oblong Municipal Building from noon-6. Next Wednesday the Red Cross and the Red Birds will be joining forces for a community blood drive at the Robinson Community Center from 1-6. All presenting donors will receive a special edition St. Louis Cardinals t-shirt. They will wrap up the month of June on the 24th at Crawford Memorial Hospital from 1-5 pm. Learn more about how to donate and find the drive in your area at redcrossblood.org.
